Campus Tours Available Weekly

Join us for a 90-minute guided tour led by Principal Robert Test and our student ambassadors. Tours run Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:00–3:30 PM and Saturdays 10:00–11:30 AM. Maximum 6 families per tour. Check in at the main entrance security desk in Building A — complimentary coffee and light refreshments provided. Bring a photo ID and comfortable walking shoes.

Yes, completely. We are a publicly funded charter school. There is no tuition, no application fee, and no hidden costs. Transportation is also free for all enrolled students, funded through the Alaska Education and Early Development Department.
Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are due by March 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM (AKT). The lottery is conducted on April 2, 2026, with acceptance notifications sent by April 15. Siblings of current students and Alaska residents receive preference. Families must confirm enrollment by April 30. Applicants not selected are placed on a waitlist valid for one year.
We currently have the most availability in Kindergarten (5 seats), 1st grade (4 seats), 6th grade (6 seats in our new STEM cohort), and 9th grade (5 seats). Additional seats exist across 2nd–5th and 7th–8th grades. Total approximately 35 open seats for Fall 2026.
Absolutely. We have certified special education teachers, resource specialists, and a full-time school counselor on staff. We provide individualized education plans (IEPs), 504 accommodations, evidence-based interventions, and social-emotional learning support. Every student belongs here.
You will need: a completed application form, birth certificate, proof of Alaska residency, immunization records, previous school transcripts, IEP documentation if applicable, parent/guardian photo ID, and emergency contact information. No application fee is required.
Our upcoming Open Houses are: January 18, 2026 (5:00–7:00 PM), February 8, 2026 (10:00 AM–12:00 PM), and March 7, 2026 (5:00–7:00 PM). Light refreshments provided at all events. RSVP to robert.test@barrowfrosttest.edu to reserve your spot.
